The Miss Northern Lights Organization is was created in 2016. It is an opportunity not only to provide young women scholarship money for higher education, but to also give young women the opportunity to speak about her personal beliefs, perform her talent, and participate in community service projects.  The Miss competition is an "open", meaning that any young woman, born 1996-2006, who lives in, works in, or goes to school full-time in Wisconsin is eligible to compete. 

 

Miss Northern Lights will win a $500 cash scholarship and will go on to compete in the Miss Wisconsin Competition. Through her participation in the program, she will be able to spread awareness about a cause she cares deeply about, increase her public speaking and leadership skills, showcase her talent and form lasting friendships with peers and mentors who share her passion for community service, scholarship, and success. We are looking for a young woman who is talent, intelligent, service-minded, driven and engaging!

 

Miss Contestants will compete in the following areas of competition: Private Interview with the judges, Onstage Question, Talent/HERstory, Health & Fitness in Activewear, and Evening Wear.

 

The Miss Northern Lights Competition is a one-day event. Contestants will arrive in the morning, will rehearse and learn walking patterns, then compete in the competition that same evening. There will be no rehearsal time prior to the competition. Please come prepared to compete. If this is your first time competing, please feel free to contact us, and we will help to make sure you know what to expect and give you tips on how to prepare. 

 

Requirements of Competition

To compete, you must:

• Be a United States citizen.

• Live, work or go to school full-time in Wisconsin

• Be born in the years 1996-2006

• Meet criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.

• Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.

• Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete.

• Be available to compete in the Miss Wisconsin Competition in June 2024

Once you contact us, you will then be given a username and password where you can access the "Contestant Portal". There you will find all the information you need to compete in the Miss Northern Lights Pageant.   The first 10 Miss contestants to successfully submit their contract and contract appendix will be considered a contestant.  After the first 10 Miss spots have been filled, a waiting list will be created.
